Meet Toby Simmons,
The Pie King
Toby Simmons has led his life like he creates his pies, everything is from scratch. Throughout his childhood, Toby could be found in his mother's kitchen, emulating the love and care he saw his mother and grandmother put into their cooking through his own favorite activity, baking. Toby quickly became the family baker for all gatherings and events and at the age of 14 began selling his baked goods at Brown's Fruit Stand in North Charleston South Carolina.

His Pie Journey
The story began with a single apple pie. Toby’s first sale was met with glowing reviews and heartfelt encouragement from fruit stand customers — and in that moment, he knew baking pies would be his life’s work.
With a passion for creating the very best old-world style pies, Toby devoted himself to perfecting his craft. Twenty-five years of careful, deliberate trial and error, paired with a relentless commitment to excellence, have set The Pie King apart from every other pie producer.

At just 19 years old, Toby created his signature handmade crust — a recipe that has since marveled taste buds around the world. Every pie that leaves The Pie King’s oven carries the unmistakable taste of commitment, intention, and love.
